Lenny Oakes

Lenny Oakes, age 56, of Hubble Road in Stanford, passed Sunday August 20, 2017 at UK Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.  Born Saturday, April 8, 1961 he was the son of Jerry Oakes of Stanford and the late Joyce Young Oakes.  Lenny was a former truck driver.

Lenny leaves behind one daughter, Brandy Oakes (Vernon) of Stanford; three sons, Ryan (Vivian), Patrick and Jeremy Oakes all of Stanford; one brother, Steve Oakes (Michelle) of Stanford; and five grandchildren, Gavin Brown, Hadden Brown, Waylon Brown, Abigail Brown, and Alaina Carpenter.

Lenny was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Kirby.

The Visitation will be held from 11AM-1PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Fox & Friend Funeral Home in Stanford. 

The Funeral Service will begin at 1:00PM Tuesday, at the funeral home, with Bro. Lewis Walter officiating the service. 

Following the Funeral Service, and honoring Lenny’s wishes, Cremation Rites will be carried out.

A Graveside Service & Burial will take place 10:00AM Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Bro. Kerry Jones officiating the service.
