Laura Mae Sims Rimer

Laura Mae Sims Rimer, age 57, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at her residence.  Born Sunday, October 25, 1959 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Martha Stone Sims.  She was the widow of the late Westley Rimer, who preceded her in death on November 15, 2014.  Laura was a former cook for the Lincoln County school system, and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed camping, swimming, boating, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family.

Laura leaves behind one son, Danny Rowe (Tracy) of Highland; one daughter, Brandy Correll of McKinney; three step daughters, Kristen Hall (Chris) of Mississippi, Amanda Delgado (Anthony) of El Paso, Texas, Laura Mae Ortega (Danny) of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Johnny Ray Sims (Ruth) of Florida; two sisters, Pam Hinkle and Teresa Jones both of London; and five grandchildren, Jaelyn Grace Rowe, Michael Bruce Rowe, Judea Correll, Tristan Hess, and Ciera Rowe.

Honoring Laura’s wishes cremation rites have been honored.  A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
