Jewell “Judy” Singleton Buschur, age 80, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. Born Wednesday, February 22, 1939 in Waynesburg, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Onalee & Elsie Padgett Singleton. Judy was the widow of the late Bro. Charles M. Buschur, Sr., whom she married July 13, 1957, and preceded her in death April 8, 1995. Judy retired, as a seamstress, from Palm Beach, where she worked for over 20 years. Judy was a member of Olive Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, square dancing, sewing, canning, and was the family historian.
Judy leaves behind two sons, Chuck Buschur, Jr. (Carolyn) and Allen Buschur (Jackie) both of Waynesburg, Kentucky; one daughter, Kim Hopkins (Dwight) of Waynesburg; five grandchildren, Tosha Downey of Henderson, Kentucky, Seth Buschur of Stanford, Kentucky, Kayla Slone (Thad) of Waynesburg, Nathaniel Buschur of Lexington, Kentucky, and Marlie Hopkins of Waynesburg; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nora Lee Queen of Orlando, Florida, and Janet Ballard (Steve) of Mount Sterling, Kentucky; and several extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Monday, April 22, 2019 at Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Bert Hall and Jerry Hampton officiating the service. Burial will follow in Olive Cemetery.
The Visitation will be held 12PM-2PM Monday at the church.
