Hope Smith Houp, age 43, of Hialeiah Court in Lexington, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington. Born Wednesday, September 25, 1974 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Viola Elliott Smith, and the late Ervin Smith. Hope was self-employed, and will be remembered for the love she had for her family.
Hope leaves behind her mother, Viola Elliott Smith, of Lancaster; two sons, Matthew Lee Houp, of Fort Bliss, Texas, and Christopher Sebastian Houp, of Lexington; one daughter, Kayla Marie Houp (Jerry Harris) of Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi; three brothers, James Smith (Melinda Lee) of Lancaster, Steven Smith (Joanna) of Winchester, and Carroll Dean Elliott (Jennifer) of Casey County; two sisters, Kimberly Parker (Tony) of Lancaster, and Regina Hines (Brian) of Winchester; her fiancé Bryan Willoughby of Lexington; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ervin Smith.
A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Johns officiating the service. Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery. James Smith, Steve Smith, Carroll Elliott, Anthony Parker, Jeremy Parker, and Tony Parker will serve as Active Pallbearers.
The Visitation will be held 12(Noon)-2PM Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the funeral home.
