Arleen Rowland Bess

Arleen Rowland Bess, age 55, of Bellevue, Kentucky, formerly of Kings Mountain, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 at her residence.  Born Sunday, March 4, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edgar B. & Ella Snow Rowland.  Arleen was a homemaker, and was of the Baptist faith.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family, loved to laugh, and listening to George Strait.

Arleen leaves behind three daughters, Callie Morgan (spouse-Mike), Ella Davis (spouse-John) both of Stanford, KY, and Carla Privett (spouse-Tony) of Pine Knot, KY; one son, James Bess (spouse-Shasta Bryant) of Pine Knot; five sisters, Eileen Benedict (spouse-David) of Waynesburg, KY, Kathleen Davis (spouse-Doyle) of Stanford, Colleen Abell (spouse-Dennis) of Walton, KY, Joan Wardia of Covington, KY, and Doris Warman of San Angelo, Texas; seven brothers, Gilbert Rowland (spouse-Karen) of Waynesburg, Franklin Rowland of Covington, Samuel Rowland of Covington, John Rowland (spouse-Debbie) of Independence, KY, Richard Yocum of Cleveland, Ohio, Roy Yocum (spouse-Linda) of Birdseye, Indiana, and Clyde Rowland of Hamilton, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Tyler Davis (spouse-Keshea), Brianna Morgan, Seth Davis, Tony Joe Privett, Jr., Elijah Morgan, Kyle Privett, Jacob Davis, Andrew Privett, and Carl Jase Bess; three great-grandchildren, Lincoln Davis, Noah Davis, and Maddalyn Morgan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Serenity Paige Davis; two nieces, Jennifer Back and Colleen Rowland; one sister-in-law, Grace Rowland; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Foster Jones, Jr.; and her companion of 18 years, Jeffrey Beck.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, November 10, 2017 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. David Gambrel officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Gooch Cemetery.  James Bess, Mike Morgan, Tony Privett, John Davis, Kenny Shea and John Rowland will serve as Active Pallbearers. Tyler Davis, Seth Davis, Tony Joe Privett, Jr., Elijah Morgan, and Kyle Privett will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
