Lou Fletcher, age 90, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2024. Born Wednesday, February 21, 1934, in McKinney, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John Crim “J.C.” & Carrie Baugh Fletcher. His loving wife, whom he married Friday, November 26, 1954, is Nita Kitts Fletcher of Stanford, Kentucky. At the age of 70, Lou retired after 40 plus years working as a Mortgage Broker. Lou was a member of Stanford Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Church Elder. Lou enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard and flowers.
In addition to his wife, Lou leaves behind one son, Terry R. Fletcher (Sandra) of Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren, Katy Woskobunik (Tony) of Clifton, Virginia, and Patrick R. Fletcher (Brittany Haney) of Richmond, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Woskobunik, Sadie Woskobunik, and Maxwell Woskobunik; two brothers, Hershel Fletcher of Junction City, Kentucky, and Dallas Fletcher (Billie Ann) of Stanford, Kentucky; one sister, Frankie Barlow of Stanford, Kentucky; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by three sisters, Amy Maxey, Sue Martin, and Nancy Henson.
A Public Visitation will be held 11:30AM-1:00PM Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Stanford Presbyterian Church.
The Public Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, at the church. Rev. Brad Napier & Rev. Jay Mumper, Honorably Retired will officiate the service. The Funeral Service will be livestreamed on Lou’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.
Burial will follow in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Patrick Fletcher, Tony Woskobunik, Hershel Fletcher, Dallas Fletcher, Greg Baird, Wayne Berry, Kent Ellis, and Buddy Pence will serve as Active Pallbearers. The Committal Service will be performed by Rev. Brad Napier, Rev. Jay Mumper, Honorably Retired, and Dennis Widner.
