Steven Ray "Stevie" Oney

Steven “Stevie” Ray Oney, age 44, of North Railroad Street in Waynesburg, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.  Born Monday, September 25, 1972 in Hamilton County (Cincinnati), Ohio, he was the son of Sue Walls Oney of Waynesburg and the late Phillip Glen Oney.  Stevie was a former employee of Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg and former volunteer firefighter, where he retired with honorary status.  Stevie was a “jack of all trades”, where he enjoyed working with his hands, loved motorsports, and most of all, loved to spend time with his brothers and other family members.

In addition to his parents, Stevie leaves behind two brothers, Robert Oney (Kayla) of Waynesburg, and Michael “Mike” Oney (Marsha) of Stanford; four nephews; and three nieces.

A Funeral Service will be held 1:00PM Friday, May 5, 2017 at Barnett, Demrow & Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Monte Wells, Bro. Kody Mullins, and Dustin Oney officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Salyers Cemetery in Casey County.  James Hunt, Stacy Padgett, Michael Coffee, Ron Elliott, Jerred Oney, and Dustin Oney will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Jaclyn Oney, Micah Oney, Mia Oney, Kody Mullins, and Kendra Mullins will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the funeral home.
