Michael Keith Caldwell

On Monday, June 19, 2017, Michael Keith Caldwell’s four-year tough battle with ALS ended; and he was restored to full health to forever be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.   Mike was 58 and resided, on the family farm, on Chrisman Circle in Danville.  Mike was born Sunday, April 5, 1959 in Danville.  He was the son of Bonnie Horton Caldwell of Danville and the late Jerry Caldwell.  His loving wife, whom he married March 23, 1978, is Margaret Stickler Caldwell.  Mike spent his lifetime working with cattle and was a successful cattle dealer.  He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church.  Mike’s love for his family was unmatched, especially his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.  Mike never met a stranger.  He loved talking to people; and his love for all people, whatever background in life they came, was shown each day he lived his life.  He was truly a man that everyone could learn something from.  His legacy will live on for many generations to come.

In addition to his wife, Mike leaves behind one son, Chad Caldwell (Heather) of Danville; one daughter, Cara Adkins (Jeremy) of Danville; four grandchildren, Addison Caldwell, Baylee Caldwell, Eden Adkins, and Gatlin Adkins all of Danville; one brother, Ryan Caldwell of Danville; and one sister, Linda Caldwell Edwards of Danville. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jeff Caldwell. 

A Celebration, to honor Mike’s life, will be held 11:00AM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Willow Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Thompson, Bro. Vola Brown, and Bro. Ernest Lear officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.  Eric Caldwell, Ernest Lear, Steve Caldwell, Junior Rice, Nathan Burton, and Jeremy Adkins will serve as Active Pallbearers.   Jackie Arnold, Andy Young, Keith Williams, Donnie Reynolds, Chuck Williams, Ben Williams Bruce Pierce, Bowen McKinney, Eddie McElroy, and Shan Davidson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. 

The Visitation will be held 5-8PM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the church.
