Irene Williams Falconbury

Irene Williams Falconbury, age 96 of Ragged Ridge Road in Waynesburg, passed Sunday, August 27, 2017 at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset.  Born Saturday, May 28, 1921 in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Lizzie Floyd Williams.  She was the widow of the late Paris Falconbury, who preceded her in death June 30, 1982.  Irene was a homemaker, daily bible reader, and attended Pond Baptist Church.  In her spare time, she loved to travel, having visited 49 of the 50 states.

Irene leaves behind two sons, Velmer Falconbury (Doris) of Mason, Ohio, and Gary Falconbury (Betty) of Waynesburg; one daughter, Brenda Stamper (Floyd) of Waynesburg; one daughter in law, Louise Falconbury of Grove Ridge; ten grandchildren, Kim York, Robin Baker, David Falconbury, Tammy Dillon, Tina Frye, Amanda Hobson, Jody Stamper, Judy Ely, Derrick Falconbury, and Kellie Hatter; and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, Stephen Falconbury, Vernon Lee Falconbury, and William Paris Falconbury; four brothers, Leemon Williams, Arlis Williams, J.C. Williams, and Lewis Williams; and two sisters, Elsie Durham, and Meacie Roy.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Barnett, Demrow and Friend Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Stephens and Jody Stamper officiating the service.  Burial will follow in Durham Cemetery.  David Falconbury, Joshua Falconbury, Jacob Falconbury, Derrick Falconbury, Jody Stamper, and Cody Dillon will serve as Active Pallbearers.

The Visitation will be held 6-8PM Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the funeral home. A second visitation will be held 12:Noon-2PM Sunday.
